Custom Cabinetry & Kitchen Remodeling in Austin, TX and Central Texas

Have questions about European-style cabinetry, remodeling timelines, or our design process? You’re in the right place. Below, you'll find answers to the most common questions homeowners ask when planning a kitchen remodel or ordering custom cabinetry for bathrooms, offices, or living areas.

  • How do European-style cabinets compare in price with typical face-frame cabinets?

European-style cabinets generally cost a little more due to their high-end materials, frameless construction, and precision hardware. However, the added value in aesthetics, space efficiency, and durability makes them a worthwhile investment.

  • What are "European-style" cabinets?

Also known as frameless cabinets, these have no face frame and use concealed hinges that allow for tight door spacing and a sleek, modern look. They offer full access interiors—no center stiles or obstructions—resulting in more usable space and a cleaner appearance. European cabinetry works well with any home style, from traditional wood finishes to modern slab doors with exotic veneers.

  • What types of hardwoods do you use in your cabinetry

We work with a variety of domestic and imported hardwoods including hard maple, cherry, white oak, red oak, birch, ash, knotty pine, and walnut. Light-toned woods help create a more spacious feel, but we also love using bold choices like American walnut and rift-sawn white oak for stunning visual impact.

  • I don’t know what cabinet door style to choose. What are my options?

We offer raised panel, flat panel, Shaker-style, and slab door cabinetry. Flat slab doors are currently popular for modern kitchens, especially when the grain is aligned across multiple doors for a seamless appearance.

  • Are white melamine interiors my only option for frameless cabinets?

Not at all. While melamine is available, we prefer using hard maple plywood for cabinet interiors—it's smooth, strong, and visually appealing. We avoid particle board due to its durability issues and chemical content.

  • Do you offer finishing services for your cabinets?

Cabinet finishing is typically done on-site by painters after installation. This allows for a clean finish after any scribing, trim work, or nail hole filling is completed. We can refer you to trusted cabinet finishers.

  • Does adjustable shelving cost extra?

No. Adjustable shelving is standard unless a fixed shelf is necessary. We limit shelf lengths to 36" to prevent sagging and ensure long-term strength.

  • Do you offer options like lazy Susans or roll-out drawers

Yes. We offer a full range of cabinet accessories, including pull-out shelves, spice racks, corner solutions, and more. We’ll help you choose the best options for your space.

  • How are your drawers constructed?

Our drawers feature dovetail joinery and are built using solid maple or Baltic birch. They ride on Blum Tandem full-extension glides, rated for 100 lbs. These all-metal glides are smooth, durable, and hidden from view.

  • What information do you need to get started on my project?

We’ll need a finished layout, a list of selected appliances, and information about your flooring and countertops. If needed, we can coordinate with your appliance supplier for specifications.

  • I don’t have a kitchen design yet. Can you help with that?

Absolutely. We provide full kitchen layout and cabinetry design services, including floorplans, elevation drawings, and 3D renderings. Most designs can be produced within a few days and refined through feedback.

  • Can you work from home center design plans?

Yes. Many clients bring us their big-box kitchen designs. We often improve the design and bid the project competitively. Most of those bids have resulted in us winning the job—and delivering better results.

  • Can I see examples of your completed projects?

Yes. With prior client approval, we can schedule an in-person visit to see our work. We also have a project gallery and a list of current references available upon request.

  • I’m ready to hire you. When should I get started?

The sooner, the better. Custom cabinetry typically takes 5–8 weeks to complete, depending on project size and workload. It’s ideal to have your cabinets ready by the time your general contractor is prepared for installation.

  • Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured for your protection and peace of mind.

  • What else should I know about kitchen remodeling?

We’ve created a dedicated page that walks you through the entire remodeling process. Visit our Kitchen Remodeling page

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, Venmo, cash—and yes, even precious metals.
